BVRC Rational
British Veterans Recognition Card (BVRC) Partnership

Originally I started this partnership deal with the BVRC for the Sports and Remedial Therapies Council (SRTC), but saw the need for other therapies and not just sports which I was already providing for a number of military personnel and teams.

I set this partnership up with the permission of the FHT, and putting in place certain guarantees to the BVRC board.

It is a purely voluntary exercise that therapists who wish to, can take part and give a little something back to the men and women of the armed forces.

The FHT may be the largest therapies organisation in the UK, but to the members of the forces, past and present, that means very little as there are many organisations out there that make a lot of claims!
So who to trust when you know nothing of this civilian world?

This in itself gives the British Veterans something that was more legitimate and solid to put the care of its members in.
The fact that made our case more solid when I negotiated this partnership with the BVRC.
Is the guarantee that the therapist taking part will be, experienced, well trained and belong to the largest therapy organisation in the country, and was a very welcome deal to a not for profit organisation such as the BVRC.

Members of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, who opt in to help our British veterans will offer one or more of the following therapies only:

Massage, Soft Tissue Therapy, Sports Therapy, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki and Bowen Therapy with a maximum treatment fee per therapy of £30.00:

Therapists must meet the following criteria in order to treat BVRC veterans:

1. All therapists must be registered
2. All therapists must have a minimum of 3 years practical experience in the therapy that is being offered
3. All therapists must be insured to practise the therapies provided.
4. Veterans taking part will be required to show proof of service, these are in the form of a HM ARMED FORCES VETERANS ID card along with a photo id such as driving licence to safe guard the therapists offering their services.
